Kavak adventure started where every great adventure starts: on a Cessna. We took a small plane to Canaima and then headed straight to KAVAK, a small isolated Pemon “village” whose name means “Macaw” in their native language. Kavak boasts two famous natural wonders: the Kavak Canyon and Cueva de Kavak, plus the opportunity of experience and learn about the culture of the Pemon people. From learning how they live, share daily chores, and solve problems with minimal resources, to how they cook and gather food, it is clear that these people are truly special and admirable.
